The prices below are given in Mexican pesos (MXN)
The exchange rate USD/MXN has slight variations; currently (as of December 10, 2008) it is 1 USD = 13.50 MXN.

Cancellations and/or new reservations caused by the IWOTA rescheduling are not automatic.
Participants need to contact the hotel to make the corresponding changes.

The negotiated prices are valid when the reservation is made before August 25, 2009.

The official conference hotel is "Real de Minas".
The negotiated prices (breakfast and tax included) are the following:

• Single room: 800 MXN per night.
• Double room: 850 MXN per night.

To make a reservation at the Hotel Real de Minas follow these steps:

• Write a message to the Hotel email address reservaciones@hotelesrealdeminas.com.mx asking for a reservation, specifying the kind of room you want (single or double) and the dates of your stay.
  You also need to mention that you will be participating in IWOTA as well as our special reservation code: iwota2009.
• You will then be asked to provide your credit card number; this can be send to the same email address or to their fax, which can be provided on request. After this, you will receive a confirmation code.
  No charge on your credit card will be made at this point.
• On the day of your arrival you will be asked to provide the credit card used to make your reservation.

Hotel "Mansion del Cantador" is located within a 6 min. walk to the hotel "Real de Minas" and has the following negotiated prices (breakfast and tax included):

• Single room: 350 MXN per night.
• Double room: 420 MXN per night.
• Triple room: 525 MXN per night.

The reservation at the Hotel Mansion del Cantador can be made via their webpage: http://www.travelbymexico.com/guan/mansiondelcantador/, where you have to fill out some contact information and the kind of room you need.
In order to take advantage of the special price you have to include our code iwota2009 in the "Comentarios" field of the form.
You will be contacted latter to confirm your reservation.

A small hotel CIMATEL, owned by CIMAT, is available for students attending IWOTA. It is located in Valenciana, right in front of the main church of the area. CIMATEL can house up to 40 guests (shared rooms), and is located within walking distance from CIMAT.
However, when going from CIMATEL to the Hotel Real de Minas (the conference site), the public transportation is required. The buses from Valenciana to the City of Guanajuato are boarded across the road from Cimatel in the downhill direction. To arrive to the conference site you have the following options.

• Take the bus "Vasallo de Cristo". Once it enters the City of Guanajuato, this bus follows the Alhondiga avenue and then it runs along Av. Miguel Hidalgo, where the Hotel Real de Minas is located. This option will take you from CIMATEL to right in front of the conference site in about 25 minutes.
• Take the bus "Valenciana - Pueblito de Rocha". If you take this bus, then you will arrive to the Alhondiga stop in about 20 minutes (ask the driver for the "parada de Alhondiga") which is located very close to the "Alhondiga de Granaditas". From here, you are within a 20 minutes walk (approximately) to the Hotel Real de Minas, and so you can use the directions and the map in our "Location" link to arrive to the conference site. Alternatively, you can board another bus at the Alhondiga stop which will get you right in front of the Hotel Real de Minas. For this latter option, you have to look for a bus with one of the following destinations: "Cerro del Gallo", "Villa Seca" or "Puentecillas".
